스마트도시계획연구실 Smart City Planning Laboratory

미래의 도시는 인구감소 및 고령화로 인한 지역 불균형, 지방소멸과 같은 큰 사회적 문제와 도전에 직면할 것으로 생각합니다. 특히, 스마트기술, 장비, 클라우딩 관제 등과 같은 스마트 시티 요소기술들은 쇠퇴도시의 활력, 안전, 보행권, 경제 등의 문제에 대처하고 4차산업혁명시대에 걸맞는 도시 공간재편과 시민들의 스마트 한 삶의 질 향상에 크게 이바지할 것으로 생각됩니다. 이에 스마트도시계획연구실은 도시현상과 문제에 대한 공학-인문학 융합적 소양을 기반으로 도시문제를 관찰하고 도시관리 및 정비 분야에 정책적 대안을 제시하는 전통적인 도시계획적 접근뿐만 아니라 건설-환경-교통-지리정보등 타 분야의 기술, 방법론, 가치 등을 적극적으로 활용한 융복합적, 간학문적 연구수행을 지향하고 있습니다. 최근의 연구들은 인공지능, 컴퓨터 비전, 공간데이터 마이닝 및 분석, 사회문제해결을 위한 digital transformation과 같은 방법론을 활용하여 임대주택, 도시쇠퇴, 미래 토지이용계획에 대응하는 연구를 수행중입니다.

Cities of the future will face multifaceted social problems and challenges, including regional imbalances and local extinction due to depopulation and aging. In particular, smart city technologies, such as smart equipment, cloud control, and other smart elements, are expected to address the vitality, safety, walkability, and economy of declining cities, and contribute significantly to the reorganization of urban space and smart quality of life for citizens. As such, the Smart City Planning Lab. aims to conduct interdisciplinary research, using not only traditional urban planning approaches, but also technologies, methodologies, and values from other fields, such as construction, environment, transportation, and geographic information. Recent studies from SCP LAb. are adopting methodologies such as artificial intelligence, computer vision, spatial data mining and analysis, and digital transformation to solve social problems related to rental housing, urban decline, and future land use plans. By doing so, the laboratory hopes to contribute to the revitalization of declining cities and improve the lives of citizens through innovative smart urban planning strategies.
